1. Product description

Single and double sheet detection sensors using ultrasonic technology are mainly used to monitor multi-layer paper and plastic and metal films. In order to identify two or more sheets inadvertently stuck together. Each layer is compared with the stored reference value and is indicated as a single layer or double layer accordingly, and the stored value can be manually corrected. It is mainly used to detect the single pass and double alarm functions of single and double sheets, and is not restricted by the vibration, material, and color of the inspected object. It is widely used in papermaking, stamping, instant noodle casting machines and other industries.

2. Product Features

Contains a signal processor and two ultrasonic sensors (transmitter and receiver);

The measurement materials range from 20g/m2 paper to 400g/m2 cards;

3. Product Principle

A high-frequency ultrasonic transmitter emits an ultrasonic beam under the sheet. The sound waves cause the thin plate to vibrate, and this will in turn produce a very small sound wave on the other side of the thin plate. This small sound wave is received by the ultrasonic receiver. If there are two, one is on top of the other, the signal becomes weaker, so that it can hardly reach the receiver.

5. Installation method

The single and double sheet detection sensor of ultrasonic technology can be installed perpendicular to the paper. When detecting ordinary paper and film, the oscillation of the paper will not affect the function of the system.

For thin metal sheets and thicker plastic films (for example: credit cards), it is recommended that the system be installed at an angle of 27° for inspection.

    For special types of thick paper, the system should be installed at an angle of 27°～30°.

6. Wiring method

DY-ZZCG-2PN-5VLJZ type:  

White: PNP+ Yellow: PNP-

Green: NPN+ Yellow: NPN-

Red: 24VDC+ Black: 24VDC-

DY-ZZCG-2PN-24VLJZ type:

White: PNP+ Yellow: PNP-

Green: NPN+ Yellow: NPN-

Red: 24VDC+ Black: 24VDC-

DY-ZZCG-RLJZ type:  

Relay 1: blue white

Relay 2: green yellow

Red: 24VDC+ Black: 24VDC-

7. Matters needing attention

A. The yellow wire is reliably grounded! ! !

B. The distance between transmitter and receiver is 40mm~80mm. Accurate shaft alignment (±1°) is very important during installation. If the axis of the transmitter and receiver are not aligned, the performance will be reduced.

C. Recommended installation distance: 60mm (±10mm).

D. Recommended installation angle: 27°±1°.

E. DY-ZZCG-2PN-5V type: DY-ZZCG-2PN-24V type: ensure that the signal output lines (white, green, yellow) are not short-circuited before power on.

F. Calibration:

    When a paper misdetection occurs, such as a single sheet of paper misdetecting a double sheet of paper or a double sheet of paper misdetecting a single sheet of paper, perform the following operations

    1. Put a piece of paper between the two probes, press the button on the right, and release the button on the right after the three signal lights flash;

    2. Put two pieces of paper between the two probes, press the left button, and after the three signal lights flash, release the left button;

DY-ZZCG-RLJZ type:  

    1. Put a piece of paper between the two probes, press the right button, and release the right button after the nixie tube flashes the number "1";

    2. Put two pieces of paper between the two probes, press the left button, and after the digital tube flashes the number "2", release the left button;

G. Reset:

DY-ZZCG-2PN-5VLJZ type: DY-ZZCG-2PN-24VLJZ type: If the product has an abnormal state, you can try to press two buttons at the same time. After the three signal lights flash, release the two buttons at the same time. The product is reset.

DY-ZZCG-RLJZ type: If the product is in an abnormal state, you can try to press the two buttons at the same time. After the digital tube flashes the number "0", release the two buttons at the same time to reset the product.
