1、 Product introduction
The acoustic medium is used for non-contact and wear-free detection of the detected object.
Ultrasonic water level meter is mainly used to detect sewage, river water and clean water, and can measure the distance value from the sensor emission surface to the water surface.
The protection grade of the product reaches IP68 level, and it can be soaked in water for a long time within 10 meters without damage. (note that the outgoing part of the instrument cable needs to be reliably sealed after field wiring to avoid water intrusion)
2、 Measuring principle
The ultrasonic pulse emitted by the ultrasonic probe propagates to the water surface to be measured through the air, and then returns to the ultrasonic probe through the air after reflection, because the transmitting and receiving time can be known. According to this time × sound speed △ 2 = the distance between the probe's transmitting surface and the water surface.
Calculation formula: D = C * t / 2
(divide by 2 because it's actually a round trip from transmitting to receiving, D is the distance, C is the speed of sound, t is the time).
If the time difference between transmitting and receiving is 0.01 seconds, the sound speed is 340m / s.
340 m / s × 0.01 s = 3.40 M
3.40 m ÷ 2 = 1.70 M
That is to say, the distance between the shooting surface of the probe and the water surface is 1.70 meters.
