The measurement is also suitable for water metering for irrigation of farmland and drainage reconstruction projects in urban areas. The ultrasonic open channel flowmeter is composed of three parts: a flow totalizer, a proper water measuring weir and an ultrasonic probe. The principle is that the ultrasonic probe directly measures the change of the liquid level in the weir trough, and converts the change of the liquid level in the weir trough into the flow in the weir trough after the corresponding level-flow conversion of the flow totalizer.
